Dan and his wife met Paul in 1983 in the second meeting Paul was ministering in since the end of the 25 years of what Paul calls, his ‘silent years’. It was a powerful meeting, the Presence of God was overwhelming.
The Reise’s were ministered to by Paul and in friendship felt a bond had developed with him for life. Sensing a call to be an evangelist, Dan quickly found himself at Bible College, and after finishing his studies contacted Paul Cain. Whilst on the telephone Paul commented that he was just going to call Brother Upthegrove to get Dan’s number, telling him, “the Lord has shown me I’m to sponsor you and your wife’s ordination through the Assemblies of God”, which he did (the only ones Paul has ordained).
Dan then travelled for eight years as an evangelist, later planting a church in Goshen, which in time grew to a thriving church later becoming a Vineyard Church.
During the ensuing years, the Reise’s years travelled to almost every meeting they could, learning and be encouraged by Paul’s ministry. Throughout this time they were able to gather a comprehensive account of Paul’s prophetic ministry in public and the stories and events behind the scenes. By default, such exposure soon put Dan in place as a historian of PCM.
After 40 years, Dan’s wife sadly passed away and went to be with the Lord. Dan is now serving and ministering with Paul at every occasion whilst also leading the prophetic ministry at World View Four Square Church in St.Louis, pastored by Tom and Mary Helbig.
